What do you actually get for your money on SmallSEOTools?
Summary
You pay SmallSEOTools by the tool, not for one SEO subscription. Each utility has its own pack, measured in words, URLs, images or searches, so $9.80 a month buys 35,000 words of plagiarism checks (plus a 5,000-word bonus) and $5.99 buys 5,000 URLs in the DA Checker (plus 1,000). There's no free trial, and weekly plans can't be refunded.
Every tool has its own meter
The Plagiarism Checker counts 300 words as a page, and how many words one search can take depends on the plan, up to 30,000. On yearly billing it's $94.08 for 480,000 words. The Paraphraser is $9.99 a month for 30,000 words plus 6,000, or $76.70 a year. Image to Text is $4.99 a month for 15,000 images plus 3,000. Image Search costs $14.99 for 60 searches plus 12, and Face Search $8.99 for 15.
Each card on the pricing page shows one price, for the default tier. Larger tiers are listed underneath, but you only see what they cost after you pick one.
This is a different kind of product from Semrush or Ahrefs, where you add a site and keep tracking its rankings and links. If what you need is ongoing data on your own site at no cost, the free SEO tools guide covers what Google and the big suites give away.
Weekly, monthly or yearly
Spam Score is sold all three ways: $4.99 a week for 3,000 URLs plus 750, $6.99 a month for 4,000 plus 1,000, or $49.99 a year for 50,000 plus 12,500. Face Search also has a weekly plan at $3.99 for five searches.
Most yearly cards say "Save 20%." The FAQ on the same page tells a different story, saying yearly plans include two months free and cost at least 50% less than monthly ones.
Prices also shift between tabs. The All in One tab lists the plagiarism checker at $9.99 a month for 40,000 words plus 8,000. On the tool's own tab it's $9.80 for 35,000 plus 5,000. Nothing on the page says which one you'd be charged.
Refunds
SmallSEOTools doesn't offer a free trial. Under its refund policy, weekly plans are never refunded. Monthly subscribers can ask within 15 days of buying, and only if most of the plan's queries are still unused. Whatever you've used, plus bank charges, comes off the refund, and discounted plans and add-ons aren't refundable at all.
A separate three-day money-back guarantee covers new customers only and excludes the Basic Plan. The policy says nothing specific about yearly plans.
What happens to the text you paste in
The privacy policy says text entered into the web tools isn't saved or stored and is removed once your request has been processed. Uploaded images are held temporarily and deleted when the job is done.
The terms of service, last updated January 25, 2023, say something else: every report generated on the site is treated as public, stored in the database and may be indexed by search engines. That line sits among tools that look up site data, such as Whois and Google cache checks, but it isn't limited to them. Paying members' data is kept in their accounts and can be deleted automatically once they unsubscribe.
