Which crawler costs less for you and your team, Screaming Frog or Sitebulb?

For one person, Screaming Frog's $279 annual license removes the crawl cap, though Sitebulb Lite is cheaper at $180 a year if your sites stay under 10,000 URLs. Add colleagues and Sitebulb pulls ahead, because extra Pro users cost $115.60 a year against a full $279 license per person at Screaming Frog. Linux users have only one choice here, since Sitebulb runs on Windows and Mac.

Screaming Frog sells one license per person, installable on several of that person's machines. Buy five or more at once and each drops to $265. Sitebulb Pro's yearly price covers the first user, and each extra user adds $115.60 a year, or $11 a month on monthly billing.
How far each one crawls
Screaming Frog's free version stops at 500 URLs per crawl. With a license the cap goes away, and the limit becomes the memory and storage you give it. The license also unlocks saved crawls, configuration options, custom extraction, source code search, JavaScript rendering and the Google Analytics and Search Console integrations.
Sitebulb Lite, at $18 a month or $180 a year, stops at 10,000 URLs per audit. Pro, at $42 a month or $425 a year, handles 500,000 by default and can be raised to 2 million. JavaScript crawling is included on both. Scheduling, audit comparisons, custom PDF reports and the structured data and hreflang reports are Pro only.
Renewals and trials
Screaming Frog licenses last one year and don't auto-renew unless you choose that at checkout. When one lapses, the software drops back to the free version's limits. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase.
Sitebulb can be canceled anytime, and its 14-day trial matches Pro with no credit card required. A cloud version for shared, browser-based access starts at $125 a month for two or more users and has no free trial.
