How much does an SEO tool cost once more than one person needs a login?
Summary
Every major SEO suite includes one user on its entry plan and charges for each extra person, usually $40 to $100 a month depending on the product and tier. For three people who all run reports, monthly billing comes to $197 on Moz Pro Standard, $209 on Ahrefs Lite and $289 on Semrush Starter. A colleague who only reads results can be left off the bill in Semrush, where view-only folder sharing is free.
Moz Pro
Moz keeps it simple. Standard ($99 a month) includes one user, Medium ($179) includes two and Large ($299) includes three. Extra seats cost $49 a month on any plan.
For a team of three, Standard plus two seats is $197, Medium plus one seat is $228, and Large is $299 with no extra seats at all. Large also comes with 25 tracked sites instead of Standard's three.
Ahrefs
Ahrefs charges more per seat as you move up. Lite adds up to two users at $40 each, Standard up to five at $60, Advanced up to ten at $80. Enterprise includes three users and sells more at $100 each with no cap. The $29 Starter plan can't add users.
Three people on Lite cost $129 plus $80, or $209, and that uses up Lite's allowance. A fourth person means moving to Standard, where three people already cost $369. Lite also caps credits at 1,000 per user each month, while Standard and above are unlimited. Users added without prepaying are billed pay-as-you-go.
Semrush
Every Semrush plan comes with one seat. Extra users cost $45 on Starter, $80 on Pro+ and $100 on Advanced, and the pricing page lists them as starting at $45 a month. Three people on Starter come to $199 plus $90, or $289.
Added users get the SEO features but not the AI Visibility Toolkit or the Traffic & Market Toolkit. Those cost $99 and $289 per extra user, so giving both colleagues AI Visibility access on Starter brings the bill to $487. Tracking and report limits are shared across the account and do not grow with each seat.
Semrush allows one email address to be logged in at a time, which rules out sharing one login. Sharing a folder as view-only is free, but anyone who needs to edit what you share needs a subscription of their own.
