Book Bolt Pro is $23.99 a month and Premium is $35.99: what does the extra $12 get you?
Book Bolt is a toolkit for publishing on Amazon KDP, built around low-content books such as journals, planners, logbooks, coloring books and puzzle books. You research keywords and competing titles using real Amazon search volume, design the cover and interior in its Studio, and export PDFs already sized for KDP. The upload to KDP is something you do yourself, so Book Bolt never asks for access to your KDP account.
The short answer to the question in the title: the tools are the same on both plans. The $12 buys four times the AI credits, plus a few extras on the design and support side.
Two plans
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | AI credits each month | How Book Bolt describes it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $23.99 | $19.99 | 1,000 | For your first published books |
| Premium | $35.99 | $29.99 | 4,000 | For sellers building a catalog |

These are the US dollar prices on the pricing page. It opens on yearly billing, and the large figure on each card is a price per day ($0.66 for Pro on yearly billing), so the monthly price is in the small print underneath.
What both plans include
Pro already has keyword and product research, the cover and interior designer, the generators for puzzles, crosswords and sudoku, and KDP Spy, Book Bolt's browser extension. Premium keeps all of that and adds 4,000 AI credits a month in place of 1,000, premium graphic packs for covers and interiors, early access to beta features, and priority support. Support on both plans is available around the clock.
So the choice really comes down to two things: how much you use the AI, and whether you want the premium graphics.
What the AI credits pay for
Credits are spent inside the Studio, on cover concepts, image generation and drafting book descriptions, and they refill every month. The pricing page doesn't give a credit cost per image, and that is the number that decides whether 1,000 is comfortable. A lined notebook may hardly need any. A coloring book with AI line art on every page is another matter. Measured as credits alone, Premium's extra 3,000 cost $12 a month, which works out to $4 per thousand ($12 ÷ 3).
Yearly or monthly
Yearly billing is labeled "Save 17%", and the totals land almost exactly on ten months. A year of Pro billed yearly is $239.88 (12 × $19.99), two cents less than ten monthly payments (10 × $23.99 = $239.90). Premium works the same way: $359.88 against $359.90. If you expect to keep the plan for ten months or longer, the yearly price is the lower one; for nine months or fewer, monthly costs less (9 × $23.99 = $215.91 on Pro).
What a year of Book Bolt costs (USD)
Yearly = one charge for 12 months. Monthly ×12 = twelve monthly charges added up. Source: bookbolt.io/pricing, checked 9 October 2026.
There is no contract on either. When you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
The free trial
The trial lasts three days and gives you everything in the plan you choose, real exports included, which is long enough to finish a cover and an interior before you pay. If you cancel in your account settings before it ends, you aren't charged. After a charge has gone through, support handles any questions about it case by case. Downgrades take effect from your next billing date.
Which plan
Book Bolt is made for KDP: the research runs on Amazon data and the templates come in KDP sizes, so if you publish somewhere else, little of it carries over. If you mostly research keywords and lay out journals or puzzle books from templates, Pro has everything you need. If AI artwork fills most of your pages, or you want the premium graphic packs, Premium is the plan to pick. Still unsure? Start the trial on Pro and see how many credits a few pages take; an upgrade to Premium applies straight away.
