The conclusion first

Helium 10 is a software suite for people who sell on Amazon — product and keyword research, listing tools, profit tracking and, on the higher plan, advertising management — with some tools for Walmart and TikTok Shop. It publishes two self-serve plans and one custom plan, and each has two prices. Platinum is $99 a month on annual billing, which means $1,188 charged at once, or $129 month to month ($1,548 over a year). Diamond is $279 a month on annual billing ($3,348 at once) or $359 month to month ($4,308 over a year). Annual billing pays for itself only if you would keep the plan for about ten months or more; below that, monthly is cheaper. On Diamond, two costs sit outside the plan price and scale with your business: a 2% fee on ad spend managed through Helium 10 Ads, and a fee on refunds the Managed Refund Service recovers for you.

The sales bands are how Helium 10 labels each plan on its page; the plan limits themselves are set in usage terms, not in sales. The page advertises annual billing as "save up to 20%". By our arithmetic the saving is a little larger: $30 of $129 is 23% on Platinum, and $80 of $359 is 22% on Diamond. All prices are in US dollars, with applicable taxes added at checkout.

Annual or monthly: the ten-month line

Annual billing is a bet that you will still want the plan in ten months. On Platinum, nine monthly charges come to $1,161 (9 × $129), less than the $1,188 annual charge; ten come to $1,290, more. Diamond crosses at the same point: nine months is $3,231 (9 × $359), below $3,348, and ten months is $3,590. The line sits between nine and ten months on both plans ($1,188 ÷ $129 = 9.2; $3,348 ÷ $359 = 9.3).

The terms decide how safe that bet is. Helium 10's terms give a full refund if you terminate within the first seven days of your initial purchase; after that, subscription payments are nonrefundable and there are no refunds for partially used periods. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Subscriptions renew automatically, and for annual plans the terms say Helium 10 uses reasonable efforts to notify you before renewal. For a first-time seller who is still testing a product idea, that combination points to month to month for the first few months, and annual once the business has shown it will run all year.

What Platinum includes, and where it stops

Platinum covers the research end of the work: Amazon product research, keyword research (100 searches a month for discovering competing keywords), the Chrome Extension, listing tools, a profit tracker, automated review requests, and the Freedom Ticket and Ads Academy training courses. Its limits are specific and worth checking against your catalog before you choose:

Helium 10 Ads (AI and rules-based ads, dayparting)not includedincluded, 2% of managed ad spendThe fee scales with your ad budget

If rank tracking is the one thing Platinum lacks for you, the add-on starts at $19 a month, which puts Platinum on annual billing at about $118 a month rather than $279. If you need the ad tools, more than 20 tracked products, or more than two connected accounts, Diamond is the plan built for it.

The costs that grow with you on Diamond

Diamond's $279 is the fixed part. The 2% management fee applies to PPC spend managed through Helium 10 Ads, so it is a function of your ad budget: $5,000 a month of managed spend adds $100 (5,000 × 2%), and $20,000 adds $400. Budget Diamond as $279 plus 2% of the ad spend you plan to run through it.

The Managed Refund Service works the other way: Helium 10 recovers reimbursements from Amazon and keeps a share — 15% on Platinum, 10% on Diamond. On $1,000 recovered, that is $150 against $100. The 5-point difference covers the $180 monthly gap between the two plans (on annual billing) only at $3,600 recovered per month (180 ÷ 5%), so choose Diamond for its tools and limits; treat the lower refund fee as a bonus rather than the reason.

Pausing instead of cancelling

Helium 10 publishes a middle option between keeping and cancelling. The terms allow pausing in 1-, 3- or 6-month periods; the pause starts at the end of the current billing cycle, and the subscription reactivates when the pause ends. Its help article on cancelling explains why that matters: a paused account keeps your historical data, including keyword and market tracking, for up to six months, while cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing cycle and the data is lost. For a seasonal seller, a paused monthly plan through the quiet months keeps the tracking history that an annual plan would otherwise be paying to hold.

Who should not buy it yet

If you do not yet sell on Amazon, Walmart or TikTok Shop, a paid plan buys tools with nothing to connect them to. The pricing page's own FAQ refers to a Free plan with limited Chrome Extension access, though the page does not publish its limits. If you plan to sell for a season and stop, month to month is the cheaper plan below ten months, and the seven-day refund window is short. And if what you want is mainly an ad manager for a large budget, price the 2% fee against your spend before comparing plan prices, because at $14,000 a month of managed spend the fee ($280) is larger than the Diamond plan itself.

What to actually do

Start by writing down three numbers: how many products you need to track, whether you need keyword rank tracking and ad management, and how many months you expect to keep the tool. If you track 20 products or fewer and do not run ads through the tool, Platinum is the plan; add the $19 rank-tracking add-on if you need it. If you need ad management, more than 20 tracked products, or more than two seller accounts, choose Diamond and budget it as $279 plus 2% of managed ad spend. If you expect to keep it fewer than ten months, pay monthly; if you expect a full year, annual saves $360 on Platinum and $960 on Diamond. And if the business has quiet months, plan to pause rather than cancel, so the tracking history survives.
