Which Ahrefs plan do you need, and what will it cost each month?
Summary
Lite costs $129 a month and Standard $249, and you move from one to the other the moment you need a sixth unverified project, a 751st tracked keyword, data older than six months, or more than 1,000 research credits a person each month. Above those sit Advanced at $449 and Enterprise at $1,499 with an annual contract, and below them a $29 Starter plan with no exports.
Starter, $29
Starter is billed monthly and can't be switched to annual. It gives you 200 credits a month, one unverified project with site audits up to 500 pages, 50 tracked keywords, one month of history and reports capped at 250 rows. You can't export, and you can't buy extra users or credits. The Ahrefs SEO Toolbar shows metrics on up to 800 search results pages a month, compared with 40,000 on Lite.
Lite, $129
Lite includes one user and lets you add two more at $40 each. It covers five unverified projects, 750 keywords updated weekly, six months of history, 2,500 rows per report, 500,000 exported rows a month and 100,000 crawl credits for site audits. Research credits are capped at 1,000 per user per month.
Verified projects are unlimited on every plan, so an agency that can verify its clients' sites isn't held back by the five-project limit. If pay-as-you-go credits are switched on, usage past the 1,000-credit cap is billed automatically.
Standard, $249
Standard makes research credits unlimited and raises the other limits: 20 unverified projects, 2,000 tracked keywords, two years of history, 30,000 rows per report, 1.5 million exported rows and 500,000 crawl credits. Up to five extra users cost $60 each.
Advanced, $449, and Enterprise, $1,499
Advanced allows 50 unverified projects, 5,000 keywords, five years of history, 75,000 rows, 4 million exported rows and 1.5 million crawl credits, with up to ten extra users at $80.
Enterprise requires an annual commitment. It includes three users, adds more at $100 with no cap, and lists 100 unverified projects, unlimited history, 150,000 rows per report and exports from 10 million rows.
Billing terms
The pricing page shows monthly prices only. It mentions annual savings of up to 17% in one place and 20% in another, doesn't list annual prices, and asks you to contact support to switch. Ahrefs also says it never runs discounts.
Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, after which the account drops to Ahrefs Free. Refunds are generally refused, with one exception for monthly subscribers who haven't used the service.
