How much does SEO software cost an agency once you have ten clients?
Summary
For ten clients and three staff, AgencyAnalytics comes to $200 a month on annual billing, SE Ranking Growth with its Agency Pack to $292.20, and Ahrefs Standard with two extra users to $369 on monthly billing. Those three totals buy different things. AgencyAnalytics is a client-reporting product that sells rank tracking as an add-on, and Ahrefs' pricing page lists no white-label option at all. What moves an agency's bill is the unit each vendor charges for: the client, the project, or the person.
Three ways vendors count an agency
AgencyAnalytics charges per client. Its pricing page shows $20 per client per month, billed annually, with unlimited staff and client users, white-label branding, a client portal, and a custom domain and email. The monthly rate isn't on the pricing page; the only monthly figure is an example in the help center, where five clients cost $125, or $25 each. The help center also defines a client as "one website or URL you track metrics for," so one customer with two websites can count twice. Deleting a client from the dashboard doesn't cut the bill unless you also lower the client count in billing settings.
SE Ranking charges for a plan plus an agency add-on. Growth costs $279 a month, or $223.20 on the annual rate, and includes 30 projects, 3 manager seats and 5,000 keywords tracked daily. The Agency Pack adds $69 a month, annual billing only, for 30 client seats, white label for the platform and reports, and unlimited scheduled reports. That puts ten clients at $292.20 a month.
Ahrefs charges per person. Standard is $249 a month with one user, and you can add up to five more at $60 each, so three people cost $369. Standard allows 20 unverified projects, but sites whose ownership you've verified don't count against any limit. Report Builder is capped at five reports on Standard; a $99-a-month add-on raises that to 50 and adds scheduling.
Semrush leaves one number out
Semrush Pro+ is $299 a month for 15 websites and 1,500 keywords tracked daily. Additional users start at $45 a month, but the pricing page never says how many users a plan already includes, so a three-person total can't be worked out from the page. Branded, white-labeled PDF reports come from the Pro Report add-on at $20 a month.
Rank tracking on a per-client basis
AgencyAnalytics sells rank tracking in blocks of 500 keywords at $41.67 a month, billed annually. The pricing card says rankings update weekly; the site menu says daily. Fifty keywords per client across ten clients fills one block and lifts the total to $241.67, about $24 per client.
The suites bundle tracking into the plan. Split across ten clients, SE Ranking Growth gives each client 500 keywords updated daily, Semrush Pro+ gives 150 updated daily, and Ahrefs Standard gives 200 updated weekly. On a per-client basis SE Ranking lands near $29 and Ahrefs near $37. Neither figure covers what the other kind of product does. The reporting platform has no competitor or backlink research, and the Ahrefs total has no branded client view.
