Which monday work management plan do you need for Gantt charts, guests, and time tracking?
Summary
Gantt charts, timelines, the calendar view, and outside guests all start on Standard, at $12 per seat per month billed annually. Time tracking, formula columns, and private boards wait until Pro at $19. For a 12-person team, which monday.com bills as 15 seats, that is $2,160 a year on Standard and $3,420 on Pro, so time tracking alone costs an extra $1,260.
Where each feature starts
The free plan caps you at two people and three boards. Basic removes the limits on boards and items, and viewers who only look at boards are free and do not count toward your bill. Past that, these are the lines teams usually run into:
- Standard adds the Timeline, Gantt, Calendar, and Map views. It also lets you share boards with guests from outside the company. The first three guests are free, and the fourth is billed as a paid member. Automations and integrations appear here too, at 250 actions a month each.
- Pro adds the Time Tracking and Formula columns, private boards, the Workload and Chart views, and task dependencies. Milestones and the critical path inside the Gantt view are also Pro features, even though the Gantt chart itself is on Standard.
- Enterprise adds portfolio management and resource management.
Dashboards are the limit people miss
A dashboard can pull from one board on Free and Basic, five on Standard, 20 on Pro, and 50 on Enterprise. On every plan the connected boards must stay under 20,000 items in total, and a single dashboard holds up to 30 widgets. If each client or project lives on its own board, Basic will not give you one screen that shows them all.
Storage climbs with the plan as well: 500 MB on Free, 5 GB on Basic, 20 GB on Standard, and 100 GB on Pro.
The annual bill for 12 people
Paid plans are sold in seat blocks of 3, 5, 10, 15, and so on, so a 12-person team buys 15 seats. On annual billing, in US dollars before tax:
- Basic: $9 × 15 × 12 = $1,620
- Standard: $12 × 15 × 12 = $2,160
- Pro: $19 × 15 × 12 = $3,420

Why you may see two product names
The site menu calls this product "monday work management." monday.com's help center articles on plans call it "monday AI work platform." Both names point to the same product and the same price list.
