What does Spectrum Business Voice cost after the $20 first year?
Summary
The $20 rate is a one-year price for new business customers who bundle voice with Spectrum Business Internet, and standard rates apply once it ends. Spectrum's published business voice price guides list the standard rate for an unlimited calling line at $50 a month. Taxes and fees are extra on the web offer, and accounts not on Auto Pay or paperless billing pay another $10 and $5 a month.
The math on five lines
Five lines at the web rate cost $100 a month in year one. At the price guides' $50 standard rate, the same five lines cost $250 a month from year two, two and a half times as much. Neither figure includes internet, the $99 installation charge, taxes, or fees.
The price guides also carry their own promotional rate, $30 a month for months 1 to 12 and $40 from month 13. That is a different number from the $20 web bundle, so a quote could use either one.
Who qualifies for $20
The offer is for qualified new business customers with no Spectrum Business service or equivalent residential service in the past 30 days, in good standing with Charter. The qualifying services have to be ordered on the same day. Standard rates apply after the promotion, or earlier if you drop a qualifying service.
Each line includes unlimited local and long-distance calling to the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada, 2,000 long-distance minutes a month to Mexico, and more than 35 calling features. Spectrum advertises a three-year price guarantee on select plans and no contracts.
The page contradicts itself on taxes. One FAQ answer says there are "no contracts or added taxes," while the voice disclaimer says "Taxes and fees extra." The disclaimer also adds a $10 monthly Payment Processing Charge without Auto Pay and a $5 monthly fee without paperless billing.
Three price guides, one set of core rates
Spectrum still publishes separate business voice price guides for legacy Charter areas, legacy Time Warner Cable areas other than New York and South Carolina, and legacy Bright House Networks areas. All three took effect September 22, 2025, and all three list:
- Unlimited Local and Long Distance line: $50 a month
- Promotional pricing: $30 for months 1 to 12, then $40
- National Accounts on 1- to 7-year terms: $40
- Voice installation: $99
- Number change: $20
The Charter and Bright House guides say installation is charged per location, not per line. The Charter guide adds toll-free service at $2 per number per month plus $0.04 a minute. None of the guides mentions the 2,000 Mexico minutes, which come from the web offer.
Former Cox areas
Charter completed its purchase of Cox in August 2026, and Cox's small business phone page now sells Spectrum Business Voice with the same U.S., Canada, and Mexico calling terms. The three price guides above do not cover former Cox territory.
