How far can you get with HubSpot's free website builder before you have to pay?
Summary
Up to 30 website pages. The free tools let you connect your own domain and publish 30 website pages, 30 landing pages, and 100 blog posts, all carrying HubSpot branding. Starter removes the branding for $7 a seat per month at the current new-customer rate, but it keeps the same 30-page limits. Page 31 is where you need Professional, which starts at $450 a month on annual billing with three seats included.
Free covers a real small-business site
A custom domain connects for free on every tier, including the free one. The free plan's limits, taken from the Content Hub comparison table, are 30 website pages, 30 landing pages, one blog on the same subdomain with up to 100 posts, and content in up to three languages. Every page shows HubSpot branding, and the favicon can't be changed.
For a local service business with a home page, a few service pages, a contact page, and a slow-moving blog, that is a complete website.
What Starter changes, and what it doesn't
Starter costs $7 per seat per month billed annually, or $10 billed monthly. Both are limited-time prices for new customers, shown next to a struck-through regular price of $20. The upgrade does three things that matter for a website:
- Branding comes off pages, landing pages, the blog, and live chat.
- The blog grows from 100 posts to 10,000.
- Languages go from 3 to 50.
The page caps stay at 30 website pages and 30 landing pages. A company that builds a new landing page for every campaign will run into that limit on Starter just as fast as on the free plan.
Professional is priced differently
Professional is not billed per seat from the first user. It starts at $450 a month on annual billing, or $500 paid monthly, and includes three core seats. Each seat after that is $45 a month ($50 monthly). Enterprise starts at $1,500 a month with five seats included, and extra seats are $75.
Annual billing, US dollars before tax:
- Three people on Starter: $7 × 3 × 12 = $252 a year
- Three people on Professional: $450 × 12 = $5,400 a year
- Five people on Professional: ($450 + 2 × $45) × 12 = $6,480 a year
- Five people on Enterprise: $1,500 × 12 = $18,000 a year
For a three-person team, crossing the 30-page line means going from $252 to $5,400 a year.
What the extra money buys
Professional raises both page caps to 10,000 and adds smart content that changes by visitor, A/B testing, password-protected pages, memberships, podcasts, and Content Remix, which turns one piece into other formats (20 a day on Professional, 50 on Enterprise). SEO recommendations move from basic to advanced, with a full site audit. Dynamic pages built from HubDB also start here, and they don't count toward the page limit.
Enterprise adds multisite support, meaning your core domain plus nine more root domains in one account, along with content approvals. HubSpot's AEO tool for tracking how your brand shows up in AI answers is promoted on the Content Hub page, but the pricing page lists it as a separate beta product and doesn't tie it to any Content Hub plan.
