Which Zoom Phone plan do you need if all three include the same calling?
Summary
It comes down to meetings. On Zoom's US pricing page, US & CA Unlimited is $18 per user per month billed monthly or $16 billed annually, Pro Plus is $24 or $20.50, and Business Plus is $29 or $24.50. The phone features are nearly identical across the three. What changes is the Zoom Workplace plan attached to them, and the cheapest one inherits the free tier's 40-minute meeting limit.
Same phone, different Workplace
US & CA Unlimited is phone service added to Workplace Basic, Zoom's free tier. Meetings stop at 40 minutes and can only be recorded locally. Pro Plus bundles Workplace Pro: 30-hour meetings for up to 100 people and 10 GB of cloud recording per license. Business Plus bundles Workplace Business: 300 participants and 15 GB of cloud recording.
Zoom's comparison table marks the core phone features as included on all three plans. That covers unlimited US and Canada calling, domestic SMS and MMS, call recording, voicemail with transcription, unlimited auto attendants, call queues, toll-free numbers, and nomadic E911 addressing. Salesforce, Microsoft, and Google integrations and post-call AI summaries are included too. The one phone difference is online fax: 50 pages a month on US & CA Unlimited and Pro Plus, unlimited on Business Plus.
So a team that lives on the phone and rarely meets on Zoom is paying for nothing extra with US & CA Unlimited. A team that runs hour-long client calls on Zoom would otherwise have to buy a meetings license on top.
What annual billing saves
Paying yearly cuts $24 per user per year on US & CA Unlimited, $42 on Pro Plus, and $54 on Business Plus. Zoom also sells prepaid packages in one-, two-, and three-year terms.
Plans without a posted price
Global Select, which covers domestic calling in more than 40 countries and territories under one rate plan, is described in the pricing FAQ with no price. Neither the regional plans (US/Canada, UK/Ireland, Australia/New Zealand) nor Zoom Phone Pro, the plan used for bring-your-own-carrier setups, shows a price.
Older figures still circulate. The FAQ on Zoom's business phone service page says metered plans start at $10 a month, North American unlimited plans at $15, and Pro Global Select at $20. None of those appear on the current pricing page, where US & CA Unlimited starts at $16 and no $10 metered plan is listed.
Taxes
Zoom says whether sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes apply depends on the tax law where you're billed, your exemption status, your "Sold To" address, and which services you buy. The amount shows up in the cart after the billing step, before checkout.
