What does Quo (formerly OpenPhone) cost beyond the per-user price?

Summary

Texting is the main one. Carrier registration through The Campaign Registry costs $19.50 once plus $1.50 to $3 a month, and automated texts sent through the API, Zapier, or Make are 1 cent per segment. Extra numbers are $5 a month each, and calls or texts to countries other than the US and Canada are billed by destination. The plans themselves run $15, $23, or $35 per user per month on annual billing, each with one number and US and Canada calling and texting included.

The plans

PlanAnnual billingMonthly billingWhat it adds
Starter$15/mo ($180/yr)$19/moManual call recording; shared number for up to 10 paid users
Business$23/mo ($276/yr)$33/moAutomatic recording, phone menus (IVR), HubSpot and Salesforce, unlimited users on a shared number
Scale$35/mo ($420/yr)$47/moAI call tags, dedicated onboarding, priority support, inbound phone support

Quo lists the annual savings as $48, $120, and $144 per user per year. On Starter, AI call summaries and transcripts only cover calls handled by Sona, Quo's AI agent; on Business and Scale they cover every call. openphone.com/pricing now redirects to Quo's page, and a 7-day free trial applies to every plan.

Charges outside the plan price

US and Canada calling is listed as unlimited, subject to Quo's fair usage policy.

A three-person example

Three people on Starter, billed annually, pay $540 a year in plan fees. If they text customers, registration adds $19.50 plus $18 to $36 a year, for a first-year total of $577.50 to $595.50. A second number for a sales line adds $60 a year. The same team on monthly billing would pay $684 a year before any of those extras.
