Which RingEX plan fits a small team now that RingCentral posts prices for only two?
Summary
Core suits a single-location team that doesn't need its CRM connected to the phones; Advanced is for branch offices or CRM-driven sales teams. They are the only RingEX plans with a price on the page: $20 and $25 per user per month paid annually, each shown next to a struck-through $30 and $35. The Ultra card is gone, and its slot now holds an AI Customer Engagement Bundle with no published price.
Where Ultra went
RingCentral's pricing page now lists Core, Advanced, and two AI Customer Engagement Bundles, one with AI Receptionist and a newer one that adds AI Conversation Expert. Both bundles say "Contact us for pricing." The first bundle carries the heaviest feature list on the page: 10,000 toll-free minutes, 200 texts per user per month, RingCentral Webinar, historical and real-time insights, and unlimited storage, plus the SMS and Call Queues boosters.
Ultra survives in two places on the page. A Webinar note says a 500-attendee license comes with "all RingEX Ultra & Customer Engagement Bundle users," and a FAQ still describes admin and analytics features "in the Advanced and Ultra packages." A new buyer can't pick it from the plan cards.
Core versus Advanced
Core includes unlimited domestic calling, on-demand recording, HD meetings for up to 300 participants, 100 toll-free minutes, 25 texts per user per month, the AI Virtual Assistant, and LLM plugins and MCP connectors. AI Receptionist is an add-on.
Advanced adds CRM integrations, multi-site connections, core reporting, 1,000 toll-free minutes, and 100 texts per user. Per the FAQ, it also brings cost center management, multi-admin support, custom roles and permissions, adoption analytics, and Business Analytics Essentials.
The page advertises savings of up to 33% for annual billing. Switching the user count from 1-5 to 6-100 left both prices unchanged. Above 100 users there is a separate option.
Prices listed outside the plans
- AI Receptionist from $39 and Conversational Intelligence from $60
- Call Queues Booster $35 and Business SMS Booster $25 (no billing unit given for these four)
- Push to Talk at $5 per user per month
- Additional vanity numbers at a $30 one-time fee plus $4.99 a month
The disclaimers add that SMS and MMS require TCR registration, which may carry extra fees, and that automated or marketing texting is sold separately as High Volume SMS. Phone rental requires a multi-year contract. Taxes and fees that may apply include the Federal Universal Service Recovery Fee, E911 Service Fee, Compliance and Administrative Cost Recovery Fee, 911 Fee, and state and local taxes.
The free trial is for new subscribers. The disclaimer caps it at five users and two desk phones, while the FAQ mentions support for up to 20 phone lines. Texting is off during the trial, and trial hardware not returned within 21 days of canceling is charged.
