How much does it cost to add another phone number to a business phone plan?
Summary
An extra number on a business phone plan costs $4.99 to $9.95 a month at the providers that publish a price. Many plans include one number per user, so you only pay for numbers beyond that.
Cheapest: RingCentral $4.99, Quo $5, Talkroute $5. Then Aircall $6, Grasshopper $9 and Ooma Office $9.95.
No printed price: JustCall, Dialpad and Phone.com sell more numbers but do not put the price on their pricing pages. Dialpad offers extra numbers to individual users only on Pro and Enterprise.
A vanity number (one that spells a word) costs $30 once plus $4.99 a month at RingCentral.
Three extra numbers for a year cost $179.64 at RingCentral and $358.20 at Ooma Office.

"One per user" matters more than the add-on price for a small team. Ten people on Quo already have ten numbers between them. A second number is something you buy for a department, a campaign or a second business, not for each person.
Quo, Talkroute, Aircall and Grasshopper let the included number be local or toll-free, and RingCentral charges the same $4.99 for an extra local or toll-free number. The spread looks small per month and adds up over a year. Five extra numbers cost $300 a year at Quo and $597 at Ooma Office.
Line2 is in the table for a different reason. It sells a second number as its whole product, at $7.99 a month on annual billing or $9.99 monthly, with calling and texting on that line. Why you might want more than one number
Tracking: a separate number on a flyer, a website and a Google Business Profile tells you which one made the phone ring. Routing: a number that rings only the support queue, or only after hours. Local presence: a number with the area code of a city you are moving into. Each of these can be a few dollars a month. Bringing a number you already have
